The Truffle Experience at Robinson Acres.

Wildcrafted on the Cumberland Plateau

Tucked into the quiet folds of the Cumberland Plateau, our truffle orchard is a study in patience, soil, and symbiosis. Beneath carefully tended oak trees, one of the world’s most coveted delicacies quietly forms - hidden, rare, and deeply tied to the land.

At Robinson Acres, truffles are not simply grown. They are cultivated in rhythm with nature - wildcrafted, intentional, and rooted in place.

What is a Périgord truffle?

The Périgord truffle (Tuber melanosporum) is prized for its deep, earthy aroma and complex flavor—notes of forest floor, cocoa, and warm spice.

Traditionally found in regions of France, Spain, and Italy, this truffle has found a new expression here on the Plateau, where mineral-rich soils and cool seasons create ideal growing conditions.

Our orchard is planted with inoculated trees whose roots are partnered with truffle spores—a living relationship known as mycorrhiza.

Over years, this underground network develops quietly. There are no shortcuts. No guarantees. Only careful stewardship, observation, and trust in the land.
